Safety and Maintenance

Equipment Safety Precautions

1.General Safety Precautions

Please ensure to always follow the safety precautions listed below:

  • When the machine is open, always follow the electrostatic precautions outlined below.

  • Once you need to install, move, or modify the machine, ensure that the power is turned off and the power cord is disconnected.

  • Do not apply voltage levels exceeding the specified voltage range, otherwise it may cause fire or electric shock.

  • When the machine is in operation, opening the machine chassis may cause electric shock.

  • Once a large amount of dust, water, or liquid enters the machine, immediately turn off the power, unplug the power cord, and then contact the machine supplier.

It is prohibited to engage in the following activities:

  • Do not drop the machine onto hard ground.
  • Do not hit the machine or apply excessive force to it.
  • Do not use the machine in places where the ambient temperature exceeds the rated temperature.

2.Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Precautions

Failure to take Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions during machine installation may cause permanent damage to the machine and cause serious injury to the user. ESD can cause severe damage to the electrical components of the machine. Dry climates are more prone to ESD. Therefore, once the machine is opened and any electrical components need to be handled, the following anti-static precautions must be strictly followed:

  • Wear an anti-static wrist strap: Wearing a simple anti-static wrist strap helps avoid ESD damage to any electrical components.
  • Ground yourself: Touch any grounded conductive material before handling any electrical components. Frequently touch any grounded conductive material while handling electrical components.
  • Use an anti-static mat: When configuring electrical components or performing related work, place them on an anti-static mat. This can reduce the likelihood of ESD damage.
  • Only touch the edges of electrical components: When handling electrical components, hold them by their edges.

Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning

1.Maintenance and Cleaning

Please read the following details before cleaning any parts or components of the machine.

  • Internal cleaning is not required. Avoid liquids entering the interior.
  • Be extremely careful to avoid damaging small, removable internal parts.
  • Turn off the power before cleaning.
  • Do not drop any objects or allow any liquid to enter the equipment through openings.
  • When cleaning, be careful of any allergic reactions the human body may have to solvents or chemicals.
  • Avoid eating, drinking, and smoking near the work area.

2.Cleaning Tools

Only specially designed dedicated products can be used to clean certain components. In such cases, such products will be clearly indicated in the cleaning tips. The following is a list of items that can be used for cleaning.

  • Cloth – Although paper towels or tissues can be used, a soft, clean cloth is recommended.
  • Water or rubbing alcohol – Use a cloth dampened with water or rubbing alcohol.
  • Use of solvents – It is recommended not to use solvents, otherwise it may damage plastic parts.
  • Vacuum cleaner – Using a vacuum cleaner designed for computers is one of the best cleaning methods. Dust and dirt may restrict airflow, which in turn causes circuit corrosion.
  • Cotton swabs – Cotton swabs dampened with rubbing alcohol or water are excellent tools for wiping hard-to-reach areas of the equipment.
  • Foam swabs – Where possible, it is best to use lint-free swabs such as foam swabs for cleaning.
